Have been looking for something like this for SO long. This device is truly a game-changer. Wired electric options require you to be close to power. Which is a problem because what if you need it when you are out and about (driving, shops, walking, etc) or there is a power outage or you are somewhere that doesn't have easy access to a powerpoint (work, camping, flying, etc). Also, all the wired options on the market currently are the wrong style for the stomach area. They are designed specially for the back (witht the stomach being an after-thought) so they are too big and the wrong shape which means they do not offer targeted heat to the right spot to give relief. Wheat and clay heatpacks are awesome but they also require power and access to a microwave. And most are not discreet. Hot water bottles stink of plastic and can be dangerous. Plus, again, not exactly discreet. And there is no way to adjust the temperature on the go. Both hot water bottles and heatpacks get super hot at first and then gets cooler. The only way to top up hte heat is to re-do it. Stick on heat patches are good in a bind because they require no microwave or power and are very discreet. But they can be expensive, bad for the environment as they are not reuseable and they don't get hot enough to offer relief during acute episodes. You also have to wear certain clothes so that the patches can be adhered to an undershirt and not th skin but then have to wear something over the top so it doesn't show. Peeling them off leaves behind a mark on the clothing and sometimes you have to go somewhere private to do it as it's not always easy to peel them off depending on what you are wearing and where you've stuck them. Which is a pain. This device solves ALL those problems. It can be used anywhere, anytime. It is discreet. You can take on and off easily. It gets hot enough to be effective (not quite as hot as a heatpack but pretty close and way hotter than a stick on patch) and the temperature can be adjusted as needed. It is reusable. It is the right shape to be effective for both the stomach and lower back. The adjustable band is very comfortable and generously sized. I just bought another one to keep in my car so that I'll always have one nearby in case I need it. So grateful to Purple Moon for designing this device and bringing it to market. You have no idea how much relief and independance it has brought me. I will be recommending it to everyone I know. My only bit of feedback is that the device does have a bit of that plasticky hot water bottle smell to it. The worst of the smell does go away once you've aired it out and used it a few times. I had to run it in another room for several cycles before I could handle being near it. But now it's not too bad. Perhaps in the future it can be manufactured in a way that doesn't release that smell. It might not seem important but stomach pain is often accompanied with nausea or other distressing symptoms and it's not nice to be smelling plastic when you feel like that. So that would be one area of improvement. The rest if perfect :) Thank you thank you thank you!!!
